Jessica Howard

I have been teaching, training and coaching individuals in Accent Modification, Communication, ESL and Cultural Acclimation for the past 10 years. I have a lot of experience training small and large groups.

I am the president and founder of both American Cultural Immersion LLC and Global Immersion Inc. I am very passionate about helping English language learners and under-served populations succeed in business, language, and communication. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from George Washington University, a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling with a focus in cultural counseling from John Hopkins University and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate from Georgetown University. Ive worked with thousands of individuals and companies like Social Security Administration, Food and Drug Administration, T-mobile, and most recent Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Pratt & Whitney, Travelers, Prudential, Conning, Huge and Hartford Health Care.

I care about my students success and believe that my curriculum and teaching style has benefited many of my current and past students tremendously. One of the most effective ways I assist my students is by developing and presenting comprehensible and stimulating lesson plans that facilitate all learning styles. I research, locate, and incorporate a variety of resources to accommodate students via visual, audio, tactile and kinesthetic methods. In addition, I integrate literature, writers workshops, phonetic activities, and technology to ensure that each student is able to comprehend and retain the concepts learned. My goal is to foster and maintain an open, honest, communicative, and supportive classroom, in which each student feels comfortable, special and appropriately challenged. I want to motivate my students and see noticeable outcomes by the end of each course.
